Our most "professional" versions are on the Pocket PC and the Palm OS. SmartPhones are very limited as to what we can do (though we are working on a way to change that).

Thanks.

The Blackberry version s very basic at this point. Our full-functioning versions are on the Pocket PC and Palm OS platforms. We have 1000's of Blackberry users who preferred that we offer something rather than nothing.

We anticipate a major update to the Blackberry platform this year, allowing for similar full functionality.

We offer our BibleReader for free, as well as many Bibles and eBooks without charge, along with resources for purchase. We also provide tech support at no charge.

First of all, it's over $20 only for one translation, while other SWs offer multi-translation bibles at about the same price. The navigation is poor: options are very limited in regard to searching. It's merely a word file typed on MS word and dumpted on my blackberry.

It's an issue with the Symbian operating system that we are working to overcome. We do not have this problem with any other BibleReader platform.

Please download the latest beta here:

http://www.olivetree.com/download/beta/symbian/

I share this as a guess. It would greatly help us help you if you would give us complete information by filling out a support ticket here:

There is no charge for the support.

We would agree with James. The Palm and Pocket PC platforms are the most developed and have full functionality. Moving from either to the Blackberry platform would be a downgrade in function at this point.

Our goal is to have the same functionality across all 14 platforms that we support and the 100s of devices that are involved. Needless to say, the exploding PDA and SmartPhone market keeps us challenged every day.

We anticipate a MAJOR update to the Blackberry platform this year, but we cannot give an exact timeframe or specific date. Please keep checking back.

I have used Olive Tree on two platforms. For the Palm Treo, I was amazed to have so many resources available in my phone. It was wonderful. As for the Balckberry, I am very disappointed. It is difficult to navigate, search and the resources are much more limited. I would attribute this to the Blackberry platform more than the Olive Tree software. I am thinking about going back to my Treo because I enjoyed using the software.

The olive tree bible reader is much better than before, but still need more improvement. I will call it the best if a feature that will enable bible verses to be sent out over the sms on mobile phones is included. I want to be able to select a verse(s) in the bible and send it through sms. However, thanks for the hard work so far.

At present the scripture verses are displayed in a paragraph style. Development is aware of the need for a verse by verse display and has it on a list of improvements to be working towards.

The Reader is fine, but I expect it to show the view in a well formatted way.
All the text are joined together with the verses not separated. May be it is because I used it on Nokia N73 or may be it is the way the Bible itself was formatted. The look is not as pleasing as seen in the hand-held device you displyed on top.
